👋🏽 Introduction

Hello, Danni here —

September has been nothing short of lively. The moms picked up new digital skills, swapped notes on entrepreneurship, and proudly finished the doormat knitting project — two mats stitched with patience, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.

Meanwhile, merchants received upgrades, and the subsidy program continued to expand, covering everyday essentials that made transactions flow more easily at merchants’ counters. Bit by bit, sats kept moving — from wallets to shelves, from merchants back into the community.

This newsletter is your front-row seat to it all. Let’s jump in.

📆 Program Highlights

➡️ 1. Different courses in the past month

This past month’s courses weren’t just about learning — they were about practice. From setting up emails to exploring entrepreneurship, the moms walked away with skills they could put to use the very same day.

Here’s how it unfolded:

➡️ Week 1: Digital Tools for Everyday Life

The month began with a big step in digital literacy. The moms learned how to set up and use email, as well as how to organize with digital notebooks. Small steps? Maybe. But for the moms, it’s a whole new way to stay connected, stay organized, and feel at home online because these tools are powerful for communication, learning, and building confidence in the digital world.

➡️ Week 2: Entrepreneurship with Terry Gichuhi

Week two brought some entrepreneurial skills! We had Terry Gichuhi, our Social Media Manager, lead a lively session on what it takes to start and grow a business. Her big takeaway? Begin small, dig deep with your research, and have a bold mindset. The moms loved it — and Richard Branson’s words hit home: “Business opportunities are like buses; there’s always another one coming.”
